Neziswa (Nezz) Mapeyi, was born in 18 December 1992  in a poor and disadvantage neighborhood called Ilinge in Komani, Eastern Cape. Her career in art began at Lingelihle Senior Secondary School, where she majored with visual arts. In 2011, I moved to Alice where I studied for a degree in Fine Art at the University of Fort Hare. She has exhibited in a number of annual exhibitions for Fine Arts students at University of Fort Hare, and after graduation she returned home to Komani to work as an intern at the Department of Sport, recreation, arts and culture. In 2020, she exhibited at Art@africa gallery in a show called #allwomxnmatter.
